Join America House Kyiv for a teacher training on the topic of Freedom & Non-Discrimination, and learn the basics of human rights education. Beyond the Curriculum is a continuation of teacher training courses from America House Kyiv. This course has been created in the hopes of being a starting point for understanding human rights and human wrongs, for training future trainers and for opening a discussion forum for inter-cultural exchange and awareness.

The workshop will explain how to work with the categories from the earliest stages of learning and how to develop speaking and thinking skills using categories.

We’ll be introducing some ‘short and sweet’ ice breakers to help students get to know their teacher and classmates and get them feeling comfortable in their new classrooms.

In this session, we will discuss some reasons giving instructions is so important for students, how we can avoid common mistakes and reflect on how we deliver directions in our own classrooms.
