Do you dream of being the world’s next great orator, speech writer or just want to become a better public speaker? This week, Ray Castillo, the U.S. Embassy’s Press Attache, will lead you through a speech writing session based two of the greatest American speeches. You’ll develop your writing skills, learn some history, and see how these speeches connect to American society today. 

We decided to gather eight young and uncorrupt active citizens who want to share their stories of how an average Ukrainian (spoiler: not only Ukrainian) can fight corruption in their daily life. Come to see the fierce battle of those who resisted corruption's challenge!

This week we aren't just a talking about corruption, we are actively making solutions to it. In the Advancing English Proficiency program we're acting out how we can respond to and avoid corruption and be transparent.

This week we'll use the instrument we're born with (our voice!) as well as a fun tool for practicing intonation and rhythmn. You may end up sounding funny but you'll sound clearer as well!

So do you have rhythmn? This week's speech club is all about rhyme and rhythmn in English. We play with limericks, speaking pace, tongue twisters and more.

In this session, its all about being Impromptu! We're going to practice some ways in which we can speak with or without preparation on any topic under the sun.

Participants who attend the Public Speaking Club can expect to have a fun time while learning the basics, to the best practices of public speaking skills. In our sessions we'll practice a variety of techniques, so that you'll be able to easily deliver both impromptu and prepared speeches to large or small audiences.

You’ll witness the competition of the strongest public speakers in two categories: Humorous and Impromptu Speeches! The battle will be a fierce one as there will be only one winner in each category.
