For this spooky season, America House Kyiv and ELR Charlie St. Pierre are proud to bring back American Identity with a Halloween twist. At 18:00 on Thursday, October 21st we will dive into the fascinating intersection of American culture, history, and superstition, and explore how the supernatural has shaped the American psyche. In part 2 of our three-part series, join us for a midnight journey into America’s hidden corners, from the Carolina swamps to the West Virginia hills and the suburbs of California. We’ll be discussing America’s urban legends and folk monsters, how these stories develop, and what we can take from this aspect of creepy culture.
The American Identity series is dedicated to enhancing understanding of American history and identity, spanning from pre-colonial times to the contemporary era. Using American passport images as a catalyst for discussions, the series is crafted to unveil nuanced perspectives within American history and culture.
