Short Story Club

Short Story Club is the perfect place for you to learn more about American culture through its literature, keep your reading list updated, and improve your English at the same time. Talk about multitasking, right?

In each session we will discuss a different short story, as well as its meaning and the language used in the text.

On August 23rd we will discuss "The Nose" by Nikolai Gogol.

"The Nose" is a satirical short story by Nikolai Gogol. Written between 1835 and 1836, it tells of a St. Petersburg official whose nose leaves his face and develops a life of its own.

You are welcome to read the story here.
