Short Story Club will feature a variety of short stories by American writers, coupled with a discussion about the meaning and language used in the text.

For this session we will discuss an excerpt from "The House on Mango Street" by Sandra Cisneros.

Told through a series of vignettes, Esperanza Cordero narrates her life growing up as a Latina girl in a Chicago neighborhood, and her desire to grow up and leave. You are welcome to read the story here.

This Short Story Club session will be on Friday September 18th at 5:00 PM.

The deadline to register is September 18th by 12:00 PM. Before the session you'll receive an email with the link to the online meeting.
