In February this year Alice Morrison completed a 2000 km walk across one of the most hostile environments in the world – the Sahara Desert with her three Amazigh guides and her 6 camels. Her aim was to explore and see what the effect of six years almost without rain is on the peoples, landscape and wildlife of the region. She faced snakes, sandstorms, quicksand and landmines but little did Alice imagine that the lessons she learnt in the wilderness would be the ones that she is relying on to get through Covid-19.
Join us and Alice and hear her stories, lessons learned and the insights that the desert revealed to her during this adventure.
