Join us for the America House screening and discussion of the documentary: “American Dream: In Search of the Truth” and discover the stories and perspectives of eight Ukrainians who left their homeland and moved overseas in the pursuit of success. Following the screening, the film’s creator, Ukrainian journalist Volodymyr Mula, will lead a discussion about the project.
In “American Dream: In Search of the Truth," Mula travels across the U.S. in search of successful and famous compatriots who openly and honestly chose their fates and sum up their lessons learned. The film features singer Mika Newton, Hollywood actress Tetyana Rodyna, Major League Soccer champion Dmytro Kovalenko, famous doctor Yuriy Melnyk, Twitter programmer Arsen Kostenko, inventor Vadym Chalenko, Columbia University professor Yuriy Shevchuk, and sports lawyer Olena Zhyrnova.
Volodymyr Mula is a journalist, host, chief editor of the Ukrainian online publication “TeleProstir”, LiveTime project producer, and creative producer of the live studios for the Eurovision international song contest. Mula is the author of a reporting cycle on Rio de Janeiro, and the infotainment projects “Around the Baltic States” and “American Dream.”
