A four-part Teacher Training Workshop
As teachers we continue to get the most growth and richest development when we are active members of a community of practice with other teachers, in which we can share ideas, tips, and strategies, as well as discuss some of the teaching challenges we face. In this four-part workshop, ‘Bridges’, we will further our learning work together with sessions on idioms, games, reaching different learning styles, and task-based instruction. The bridges we will build in these sessions between our shared knowledge and experiences will provide firm foundations for our students to traverse on their journeys towards ever greater English language communicative fluency.
Session 2: Game Day!
Using games in the English language classroom can bolster our students’ learning and motivation, as well as help create a fun, supportive atmosphere. In this session we will try out several different games, and assess which ones might work best in different teaching contexts.
