Summary of America House Program
Through the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine, IREX administers the America House project, a network of welcoming, dynamic spaces in Kyiv, Odesa and Lviv that foster discussion and debate, provides opportunities for professional and personal skill building, and sparks creativity and collaboration around shared Ukrainian and U.S. values. America House Kyiv offers not only a physical space, but also a virtual hub, which facilitates access to balanced resources and information. Peer-to-peer cultural exchanges, discussions and learning at America House Kyiv provide visitors with a seat in “America’s living room.”
Summary of Position
IREX’s America House Program Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all activities and events as well as assisting with the programs hosted at America House Kyiv.

Your Background & Skills:
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum 2 years experience working for an international NGO, community space, or similar position.
Fluent English and Ukrainian.
Knowledgeable about youth and cultural organizations in Ukraine.
Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be skilled at handling multiple tasks and able to adhere to tight deadlines.
Strong intercultural and communication skills.
Experience organizing events and handling logistics.
Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team.
Experience studying in the United States or holding an ECA alumnus/a status is an advantage.
You must have unrestricted authorization to work in Ukraine.
Your Daily Tasks:
Coordinate planning, developing and implementing events and programs for America House Kyiv.
Provide organizational and logistical support to America House Kyiv gallery activities.
Assist with designing and implementing nationwide campaigns and/or initiatives.
Liaison with the wider America House team in other cities for coordination and cooperation on nation-wide campaigns and joint events.
Maintain events calendar and event registration forms in coordination with the Senior Program Officer.
Design cultural, thematic and language events for America House Kyiv.
Design and oversee thematic projects at America House Kyiv.
Interpret/translate for international guests and speakers and public events.
Translate programming information into Ukrainian and English.
Facilitate selected events at America House Kyiv.
Guide and fulfill tours of America House Kyiv.
Track event visitation and draft weekly, quarterly and final programming reports in coordination with wider America House team.
Maintain event spreadsheets, such as book club and film databases.
Compile America House Kyiv event plans and agendas.
Communicate with program proposal applicants for further information and details, and rejections and approvals, as directed by the America House Kyiv Senior Program Officer.
Coordinate with IT and Technology Innovation Manager tech-heavy events, including webinars and streaming, and assist with preparing instructions for remote audiences.
Cooperate with Communications Manager in drafting event announcement and communication materials to ensure the events and programs are well publicized.
Coordinate with event partners to ensure America House has all information, events forms are filled in on time, all the tech needs are known in advance according to America House policies.
Coordinate and assist Administrative and Operations Manager with procurement and contracts for partners.
Support the Senior Program Officer and ELR in designing America House English language programming (Speaking Club, Chat Sessions, Book Club, Movie Nights).
Coordinate America House volunteer involvement.
Other duties as assigned.
