Poetry in the Garden With Charlie: How to Read Poetry

  • America House Kyiv 6 Mykoly Pymonenka Street Kyiv, 02000 Ukraine (map)

Introducing Poetry in the Garden, a new summer series at America House Kyiv. Join us in AHK’s peaceful Urban Garden to enjoy English-language poetry as the sun sets. Led by AH English Language Resident Charles St. Pierre, each session will explore themes like love, travel, and loss through poetry.

During our first session we will discuss how to read English poetry and explore The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost. He is one of America's most beloved poets, famous for capturing the essence of rural life and human experience in his evocative verses. Known for his mastery of blank verse and vivid imagery, Frost's poetry explores themes of nature, existence, and the complexities of human relationships with a keen and introspective eye.

Experience Poetry in the Garden will be every Thursday at 7 PM. Let the calm of our garden inspire your love for poetry and community.

Attendance and participation are free. You just need to let us know if you’re coming by registering for the event in advance. We’ll save you a spot and keep you posted about any changes.
