America House Kyiv invites volunteers, teams of NGOs and active citizens to participate in "Emergency Response: Okhmatdyt Case-Study and After-Action Debrief Simulation" — an interactive presentation and workshop led by Alyona Krytsuk, founder of “Brave to Rebuild” foundation, and Leslie L. Wilson, an expert in emergency management.
The workshop aims to bolster Ukrainian civil society by equipping Ukrainian with tools and knowledge to manage emergency situations, caused by Russian aggression.

About the speakers:
Alyona Krytsuk is the founder of "Brave to Rebuild", a foundation established in 2022 that takes a leading role in the recovery of social facilities and houses damaged by Russian aggression. The organization is an active member of the RISE Ukraine Coalition and the Alliance UA CSO.
On February 24, 2022, Alyona left her successful marketing career to dedicate herself to volunteering. Her contributions were recognized with the "For Support to the Armed Forces" medal from the former Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, General Zaluzhnyi.
Since 2005, Leslie Wilson’s careers, passion, and volunteer work have centered around emergency management, vulnerable population assistance, disaster response, and recovery. Starting her volunteer journey as a Disaster Response Coordinator at American Red Cross, she later gained a valuable experience working in the field for Washington DC offices, the U.S. Capitol Complex, the Pentagon and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Throughout almost 20 years, Ms. Wilson took an active volunteering position and cooperated with dozens of non-profit organizations at national and international level.
Since May 2022, Leslie Wilson has immersed herself in the culture, language, and wartime challenges of the Ukrainian people to better understand their most urgent unmet needs. Through her Resilient Village project, now under Brave to Rebuild, she continues establishing a wide-ranging network to aid in wartime survival, peacetime recovery, and building resilient Ukraine.
