American Identity Haunted Special Part 3: The Salem Witch Trials

  • America House Kyiv 6 Mykoly Pymonenka Street Kyiv, 02000 Ukraine (map)

For this spooky season, America House Kyiv and ELR Charlie St. Pierre are proud to bring back American Identity with a Halloween twist. At 18:00 on Monday, October 28th we will dive into the fascinating intersection of American culture, history, and superstition, and explore how the supernatural has shaped the American psyche. In the final part of our three-part series, we’re traveling back in time to colonial Massachusetts, where witch-related paranoia led to the executions of 19 colonists, mostly women. How did witch-fever take over Salem? How have the Salem Witch Trials shaped American culture and American history? Join us to find out.

The American Identity series is dedicated to enhancing understanding of American history and identity, spanning from pre-colonial times to the contemporary era. Using American passport images as a catalyst for discussions, the series is crafted to unveil nuanced perspectives within American history and culture.

Attendance and participation are free. You just need to let us know if you’re coming by registering for the event in advance. We’ll save you a spot and keep you posted about any changes.

📍 The deadline to register is October 28th at 12:00 PM Kyiv time.
