American English Club: Pop Culture in Modern America

Want to improve your spoken English skills, but don't have anyone to practice with? Join our weekly American English Club, led by American volunteers, to engage in lively discussions and connect with new people and other English language fans online. Take the leap and jump into fun conversations led by facilitators from diverse backgrounds! We’ll be chatting about international holidays, innovation & technology, American art and pop-culture, and much more.

On Friday, February 25 we’ll talk about the impact of Pop Culture in the United States, how the music industry is changing, and how musicians may now take more creative control. Take a closer look at what we'll be discussing:

📀 Why is Taylor Swift re-recording her previous albums?
📀 What impact does popular culture have on society?
📀 How do TikTok and Instagram artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Olivia Rodrigo break into the mainstream while keeping creative control?
📀 What makes popular culture popular?

Register, bring your questions and enjoy the ride!

The deadline to register is February 25th by 12:00 PM.
