In the fast-paced reality we live in today, it can be hard to remain calm when everything unfolds so quickly. How can we deal with emotions that come from stress, anxiety, sudden change and fear of the unknown? Together with Dr. Thomas Cardwell, America House Kyiv will host a psychological first aid training where you will learn about the physical and emotional reactions that disasters and unpredictable events can cause, and how we can best respond to them to help ourselves and others. Based on an extensive course developed by the American Red Cross, the training will explore the following topics:
🔹 How do we self-regulate our nervous system when stress is taking over us;
🔹 How to create a compassionate environment & provide psychological support to another person;
🔹 Why having a routine can significantly decrease your stress level;
🔹 What impacts can stress have on our judgement and beliefs
