American Food Stories: Independence Day Edition

Do you know what foods Americans traditionally eat on the 4th of July? And what special Independence Day traditions are common in the United States? Explore the fun and diversity of Fourth of July and summer celebrations in the U.S. together with America House Kyiv!

Big part of any celebration or holiday is food, so we invited Alison Sierra from U.S. Embassy Kyiv and Chef Jeff Hanak to share their favorite memories and popular recipes for Fourth of July parties. During the event, you will learn more about American food culture and Independence Day traditions of different regions in the United States. Summer barbecues, hot dogs, potato salads and pies, lots of fun and festivity – we will talk about these and many more attributes of the 4th of July celebration!

Grab a sandwich and a glass of lemonade and join our online festivities on July 2 at 6:00 pm. Feel free to ask any questions you have.

We’ll be streaming this session to our Facebook and YouTube pages.
