TED English is online dialogues around TED talks! Each 45-minute session will feature a cool and informative TED Talk, coupled with Q & A and discussion about the meaning and language used in the talk. By joining this program you’ll get the opportunity to talk about vocabulary and grammar from the TED talk, react to the topic discussed in the talk, and interact with a huge community of people online through a discussion facilitated by America House’s very own English language Resident!
During this session we will discuss TED Talk by Cady Coleman: What it's like to live on the International Space Station.
In this quick, fun talk, astronaut Cady Coleman welcomes us aboard the International Space Station, where she spent nearly six months doing experiments that expanded the frontiers of science. Hear what it's like to fly to work, sleep without gravity and live life hurtling at 17,500 miles per hour around the Earth. "The space station is the place where mission and magic come together," Coleman says.
The event will be on Wednesday April 14th at 5:00 PM. The deadline to register is April 14th by 12:00 PM. Before the session you'll receive an email with the link to the online meeting.
