Short Story Club is the perfect place for you to learn more about American culture through its literature, keep your reading list updated, and improve your English at the same time. Talk about multitasking, right?
In each session we will discuss a different short story by an American writer, as well as its meaning and the language used in the text.
On March 15th we will discuss "Story of an Hour" by Kate Chopin.
Kate Chopin's short piece "The Story of an Hour" is about a sickly wife who briefly believes her husband is dead and imagines a whole new life of freedom for herself.
You are welcome to read the story here. Text provided by CommonLit.
This Short Story Club session will be on Monday, March 15th at 5:00 PM.
