Taking the stage as world leaders, prominent experts, and bold innovators, women have found themselves on the horizons of a brave new world. The transformation occurring across countries and cultures is plain to see. The voices of women are getting louder.

America House invites you to join a series of virtual talks in which key opinion leaders in the spheres of culture, media and business in Ukraine will discuss how the role of women is changing in their domains today. Where are we now and where are we headed? And how can women boldly lead us to explore new areas of growth and development? The leading female voices in Ukraine will share their stories and insights, discussing the current realities and future potentials for women in Ukraine and beyond.

About the moderator:

🔸 Olenka Martyniuk. Journalist, author and lecturer of the fashion media course at the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy". Author of the book "I want to go into fashion". Curator of the fashion column in the telegram channel #sixarticles. Her specialization is fashion, beauty, culture, art.

Culture Talk

🔸 Anna Stavichenko. Musicologist, music critic, PhD in art history, author of educational projects about musical theater, director of audience development at Kyiv Symphony Orchestra, art director of the charity fund "Open music of the city".

🔸 Alexandra Wacko. Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Kyiv. Her specialization is political and economic issues, security issues, human rights, trade and investment.

🔸 Zinaida. Artist and cultural figure. Her works are exhibited in the major art capitals of the world, including at the Venice Biennale of Contemporary Art. Her specialization is research of mythologies, national archaic images and their embodiments in the mediums of modern art.

🔸 Dr. Jessica Zychowicz. Director of the Fulbright Program in Ukraine and Head of the Kyiv Office of the Institute of International Education. In 2017-18 she was a researcher of gender studies and the Eastern Europe region of the Fulbright program at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. She has published a monograph “Superfluous Women: Feminism, Art, and Revolution in 21st-Century Ukraine” (University of Toronto 2020 Publishing House).

🔸 Yana Paniushkina. Journalist, host of the “First Page” program on UA: First tv channel, editor of The Page Style website. Specialization: fashion, beauty, fitness, lifestyle. Worked in VD Kommersant Ukraine, Forbes Ukraine magazine. Contributor to Vogue Ukraine magazine.

🔸 Irina Tatarenko. Editor-in-Chief of Marie Claire Ukraine. Author and teacher of the course "Glossy Journalism". Former editor-in-chief of Panorama. Her interests include cinema.

🔸 Tamara Martsenyuk. Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor of Sociology at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Gender Expert at the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, Visiting Fulbright Researcher at Columbia University (USA, 2017-2018). Author of more than 100 scientific papers, journalistic articles, sections of textbooks and books.

Business Talk

🔸 Maria Didkovska. Owner of the capital's French restaurant Citronelle with a 10-year history and the cocktail bar Saint Bar. Public figure. Organizer of open-air charity concerts for the integration of classical music into the modern life of the capital. Founder of the public initiative "Open Music of the City".

🔸 Iryna Ozymok. Head of the local economic development program at the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, under which the fund supports field projects with economic and social impact. Iryna is the founder of the International Summit of Mayors. She is also an ambassador of the Technovation Girls project in Ukraine, a program of women's leadership through IT entrepreneurship.

🔸 Ulyana Kirichuk. CEO of MillaNova, a Ukrainian brand of evening and wedding dresses. Experienced TOP manager in the field of FMCG, speaker. Specialization: expert in business process optimization, innovation, and business scaling.
