TED English

TED English is online dialogues around TED talks! Each 45-minute session will feature a cool and informative TED Talk, coupled with Q & A and discussion about the meaning and language used in the talk. By joining this program you’ll get the opportunity to talk about vocabulary and grammar from the TED talk, react to the topic discussed in the talk, and interact with a huge community of people online through a discussion facilitated by America House’s very own English language Resident!

During this session we will discuss TED Talk by Kenneth Shinozuka: My simple invention, designed to keep my grandfather safe: https://bit.ly/31Ogr9P

60% of people with dementia wander off, an issue that can prove hugely stressful for both patients and caregivers. In this charming talk, hear how teen inventor Kenneth Shinozuka came up with a novel solution to help his night-wandering grandfather and the aunt who looks after him ... and how he hopes to help others with Alzheimer's.

This TED English session will be on Monday September 7th at 5:00 PM.

The deadline to register is September 7th by 12:00 PM. Before the session you'll receive an email with the link to the online meeting.
