Did you know that Trial attorneys in the U.S. must develop strong verbal communication skills, as well as intentional non-verbal communication skills? They are trained, formally and informally, to persuade judges and juries to voluntarily interpret disputed facts in way that will benefit their client.
The communication techniques utilized by trial attorneys in order to persuade juries and judges are effective not only in courtrooms; you can apply these techniques in your life as well. Many of the same techniques are used by leaders in many different settings: classrooms, businesses, government agencies, and any other situation where groups of people, with diverse backgrounds, must work together toward a common goal.
If you want to learn more about communication techniques and the art of Persuasion, come and learn from someone who gained an appreciation for the subtle art of persuasion - John Engstrom. Over the years, he has had to persuade juries and judges to follow his legal reasoning and persuasion permeates all aspects of his work. Sometimes he must persuade the federal agents with whom he works to adopt an investigative strategy.
