About Scott:
Scott Whitmore is the Assistant Cultural Affairs officer at US Embassy Kyiv arrived in August 2020. He has also worked in Warsaw, Poland; Halifax, Canada; São Paulo, Brazil; Baku, Azerbaijan; and Tbilisi, Georgia as part of the Foreign Service. Prior to joining the U.S. State Department, Scott was a high school teacher in Chelsea, MA, a city close to Boston and an arrival point for many new immigrants to America. Scott also worked in Moscow and studied in St. Petersburg, Russia. He speaks Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, and Portuguese and enough Georgian to order from a menu or get in trouble.
