Maximizing Your Marketing Impact for a Cause: Tips from a Seasoned Communications Strategist

If you are contemplating the best ways of really reaching your audience, and making them act and respond, you need to come to this presentation.

If you would like run an informational or marketing campaign on a shoe-string budget, you need to come to this presentation.

With 15+ years of experience as a brand and communications strategist, Izzy Chan has worked with global brands such as Apple, Google, Visa, Nike, Honda and Audi in building their brands, and making their marketing communications as impactful as possible. While big clients often see the value of bringing on a strategist to make sure their million-dollar marketing campaigns are well-spent, small businesses and non-profits often make do without a strategist given their limited resources. Yet it is precisely when resources are scarce when it is crucial that every hard-earned dollar is thoughtfully-invested, and every minute squeezed out of a busy schedule is well-spent. In this workshop, Izzy will share the strategic tools and processes that she uses with her corporate clients, and explain how non-profits, indie-filmmakers, and small businesses can adapt those same tools to help them build their brand and optimize their marketing efforts. She will use examples from her own experience as an independent documentary filmmaker, promoting two crowdfunding campaigns and multiple screenings for The Big Flip on a shoe-string budget with just herself and an intern.

Izzy Chan has been invited to Ukraine by the U.S Embassy as a representative of U.S. State Department supported American Film Showcase program.
