With nearly two decades of experience working in politics, business, and the non-profit sectors in over 100 countries, Kristin Haffert has dedicated her life to training women leaders across the globe. She is Co-Founder Project Mine the Gap, a consulting and advocacy firm that educates and advises industries on the bottom line impact of gender inclusion, and CEO of Haffert Group, helping organizations promote gender equality through sustainable business practices that expand their growth.
Prior to launching Haffert Group, Ms. Haffert initiated and built the first department for gender and women’s programs at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI). From 2001 to 2009 she served in senior management and advised international leaders on promoting women in political and civic life throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia. Ms. Haffert spearheaded major international efforts on gender equality such as the Win with Women Global Initiative chaired by former US Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright and iKNOW Politics, a global, multilingual technology platform for women leaders. She has received awards from the Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) and the Center for American Women in Politics (CAWP) at the Eagleton Institute of Politics for her dedication to advancing women.
