The Odessa Review is a recently launched English language magazine focusing on providing an international perspective on Ukrainian culture.
The magazine is an event centric print monthly that focuses on contemporary trends in culture, art, politics and business in Ukraine. It's slogan is 'a journal for the new Ukraine' and it is interested in the formation of a new national cultural based on identity and civic values. The remarkable events that have taken place across Ukraine over the last two and a half years have created as much interest in the country in the West, as the West is interested in Ukraine.
Odessa's new regional magazine is also a world class commentator on culture and business issues, it's focus to is to provide a bridge between contemporary Ukrainian trends in the new Ukraine.
Please join The Odessa Review's editor's Vladislav Davidzon (American) and Peter Dickinson (British) for an in depth conversation about the magazine and the state of English language cultural diplomacy.
Both have extensive experience working as foreign correspondents in Ukraine and in Europe.
The conversation between the two editors will focus on the contemporary challenges facing a magazine reporting on Ukrainian culture for an Anglophone audience as well as the state of Ukraine's cultural diplomacy abroad.
